Hi all, a quick blog for the weekend to let you know about some great books that are available to buy as hard copies or via Kindle for the expectant and new mums out there. I have picked 4 books which I refer to all the time for my antenatal and postnatal pilates classes. They are simply good books written by qualified and knowledgeable authors who have a wealth of experience.
My favourite of these books without a doubt is Baby Bod as all of my mums that come along for their Mummy NCTs can vouch for (I should really buy shares in it)
So What makes this book my go to book for reading suggestions? Well it simply has everything covered. From during pregnancy, to post partum,, from self care to whats available to assist in the healing process and lots of pelvic rehab and exercises advised as well. It looks at everything that will be important in healing your post partum body. Its not filled with medical jargon which I love as some books can get too technical andcan be difficult to grasp.
Obviously it isn't intended to replace your gp or women's health physiotherapist, so if you are concerned regards any pain or pelvic related symptoms, make sure to talk to your local gp or women's health physiotherapist.
